About the event

Samhain pronounced “Sow In” is an old pagan festival rich with mysticism. in the modern world it is more commonly known as halloween and has become starved of its sacred energy. This retreat journey will prepare for you this native tradition where it is told the veil between worlds is especially thin. It is considered to be a moment of great potency,  where we are more likely to sense other dimensions, our ancestors and dear ones no longer with us in livingness.

Together over this retreat journey, we will explore our own relationship to both life, death and work to merge with the great mystery that birthed us.

As the mystic spider spins her web between worlds,  Beyond Flesh offers the opportunity to remember yourself as part of her great weave - yet please know that it calls the ones who are willing to stand boldly in the night.

To recognise yourself as dying as much as you are living.

To remember who you are, where you’ve come from how you are becoming.

To call back into yourself the pieces of your soul stuck in the timeline of your life, or maybe even lives before.

This retreat is about liberation.

To writhe, wriggle and shake away the dead snake skins and sense into the places that are  pulsing with life.

To feel yourself stand upon the shoulders of your ancestors, reconcile any unfinished business and sit in prayer with the energies that exist beyond flesh.

We will work with a wide spectrum of practices from embodied yoga, movement and dance,  somatic self enquiry, authentic exposure techniques, breathwork , sacred sound, ancient wisdom practices & rituals rooted in the natural world.

All held in the ancient lands of North Devon, a place that many of our guests now consider a retreat home.
